Strayer, the film completed principal photography at Tiffany’s Hollywood studio by late June 1930. It premiered August 20, 1930, with working titles including Why Marry? and Scrambled Wives before release as Borrowed Wives. Strayer, later noted for multiple Blondie series entries, worked from a screenplay by Scott Darling; the cinematography was by André Barlatier and editing by Byron Robinson. --- Trivia: AFI records list alternate titles used during development: Why Marry? and Scrambled Wives.
